Heidi Swapp - Ribbons are Cool

OK…so here’s the scoop! We’ve been busy updating our site with COOL new products and the new Heidi Swapp ribbon spools are amoungst this new STUFF! Yes they sure are, all 30 of them! These babies are HOT! And not to mention really cute too! Needless to say that’s why we’ve decided to highlight them this week in our Scraplog.

My Mind’s Eye- “Signature Life” Collection

When I first started scrapbooking, I used to buy cardstock, patterned papers and other embellishments separately. The actual choosing of papers, complimenting colours and patterns made me feel good. It was therapeutic for me but now, like so many others we are super busy with work and family life that when companies such as “My Mind’s Eye” put out these collection kits we scrappers jump for joy!!

Like it’s predecessors, Kaleidoscope & Signature Suite the “Signature Life” collection consists of 3 beautiful families of papers, die cuts, titles, quotes and word stripes. The papers are printed front and back on heavy weight, non-textured, white core cardstock. Each sheet of paper has a beautifully printed patterned side with a coordinating solid on the reverse. The three families of papers are Everyday, His & Her. Within each family there are 5 collections. Check them out!! You’re going to need them all!!

I just love this picture of Cade. I’ve been wanting to do a layout with it but could not find the perfect paper. Well guess what? I finally did!!! I chose the My Mind’s Eye- “His” My Little Buddy Little Dots & Stripes as well as the accessories card and matching title. I just love it. And get this…I completed the layout in 30 minutes…gotta love that!!!

What is it?

Alcohol Ink Applicator was designed by Tim Holtz who is the Designer & Senior Educator for Ranger Industries. Tim travels internationally to trade shows and stores to educate and introduce people to his world of inks and so much more. As a well known Designer, Tim has been a frequent guest on HGTV’s The Carol Duvall Show, and his projects can been seen regularly in DVD’s, books, stamping and scrapbooking magazines.

This ergonomic, solid wood tool is perfect for the precise, mess free application of Alcohol Inks, Mixatives, and Alcohol Blending Solution to your craft projects. Specially designed by Tim Holtz, the Alcohol Ink Applicator is great for multiple techniques. We used this product at our SYM Spring Super Crop and we received some great feedack from those who demoed it. Thank You For Coming to our 4th Annual Spring Super Crop

We’d like to take a post to thank all the scrappers and sponsors for supporting our 4th annual SYM Super Spring Crop.

The Super Crop on Saturday was a big success. Everything went perfectly and thank you to everyone who attended, and thank you to those who helped with the set up and clean up at the church. (Mom, Sandra, Charlene, Wanda, Christine, Kelly, Beth).

We will be posting our first ever product profile on the Tim Holtz Felt Applicator Tool, this was a tool Beth used for one of her demos at the Super Crop. This cool tool can be used to stamp on metal, plastic and pretty much anything that is non-porous!

Better Late Then Never

The mission of this blog is to spark interest in the scrapbooking industry and its hottest products and trends. I have started this blog to express my scrapbooking knowledge and creativity by differentiating from all of the other great “scrapbooking” blogs out there — whether it be news or opinion/insight from the many blogs by Manufacturers/Entrepreneurs/Designers/etc.

The Scraplog is focused on providing details on the newest products in our industry. So welcome to my first attempt at blogging. Admittedly, I’m six years behind the times, but I had to get over my ignorance of blogging and Chris (my husband) after me every day to write a blog.

Not that you can hold me to this, but I’ll write about products, trade shows, Scrapbook Your Memories, scrapbooking innovators, and card making.
